Early Help

For our schools, early help means getting the right support at the right time.  Sometimes life throws us an event which we are not quite prepared for and to have someone to listen and care can mean so much.  All of our children are encouraged to talk about their feelings, and how others make them feel, we have emotion cards in classrooms, circle times, we share significant events in class and assemblies, our school values are very  much part of our contributions to society and recognising it’s ok to receive help too.

We have a great team of trusted adults who can be available and listen if you may have experienced bereavement, financial difficulty, anxieties or separation.  We have a close relationship with the School Nursing Team, Educational Psychologist, Advisory Teaching Service, GDASS etc. which we can signpost you to, or you may wish to browse through the Family Information Service directory.

Our Pastoral Team can support with uniforms, Foodbanks, Winston’s Wish TIC+ etc. – or you may wish to contact them yourselves.  The main point is to know you are not alone, we care and are here to help.

We have a comprehensive, but not exhaustive, list of support at the rear of the Safeguarding Policy, but below are a few commonly used agencies.
